Cherapa Place Embraces GreenCherapa Place is a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certified building through the United States Green Building Council (USGBC). Due to the profound negative impact the built environment has on our natural environment, we are proud to build green. Annually, buildings consume more than 30% of the total energy and more than 60% of the total electricity used in the US. By using LEED standards to build green, we are able to eliminate some of the negative environmental impacts, improve design, and make our building more efficient. LEED ensures an immediate and measurable result: dramatic energy savings, reduced greenhouse gas emissions, better indoor air quality, and lower operating costs. Because of our choice to go green, Cherapa Place and its tenants are more socially responsible, healthy, and productive. So why wouldn’t you build green? By using LEED, you can ensure an immediate and measurable impact where it really counts: dramatic energy savings, reduced greenhouse gas emissions, better indoor air quality, and lower operating costs.LEED = Green Building Leadership
